Dr. Dustin Freeman

Dustin Freeman has a background in applied math and theatre. He has worked extensively with the Kinect for installation and performance art, both at Microsoft Research and for his PhD at the University of Toronto (Improv Remix). Recently, he worked on the Bridge Mixed Reality Engine at Occipital as a Spatial Interaction Engineer. His work often looks like video games, but is really about casting the audience in immersive participatory improv theatre productions. This past year, he worked on live streamed Mixed Reality theatre at Raktor. He is in a permanent state of telepresence between Toronto, San Francisco and London.
